Re: Hi everyone

Hi Will,

Welcome to BTF!

I will encourage you to check out several of the forums and articles and let us know what you think. No offense to you, but there are quite a few differences between the Bible and what the Baptist denomination teaches. After you have read some of the articles you may wish to discuss a few things.

I would probably start in the What Must I Do To Be Saved forum and see if this agrees with what you have been taught and with what you have done.

Remember, we are here to help you in any way we can.

Re: Hi everyone

Welcome to the forums, William! I used to be a Baptist, and I encourage you to study your Bible and ask a lot of questions in search of the truth. I will be glad to help in any way I can!

Re: Hi everyone

Oh dear....

I have read your what must i do to be saved topic. That is what my church teaches and every baptist church ive been to in scotland.

I now have a major concern. Does this board have a problem with baptists?.

P.s. can you bring to my attention these things that the baptist denomination teaches that are unbiblical.

Re: Hi everyone

Well, the Baptist may teach differently in Scotland than they do in America.

You might want to post a question asking "Are denominations Biblical?" That might be a good question for study and discussion.

Re: Hi everyone

You can start a thread and ask that question... this isn't really the appropriate area for that discussion.

I will go ahead and tell you that what they teach here is not in agreement with the Bible. You stated above that what you are being taught agrees with our "What Must I Do To Be Saved" information. The Baptist in America do not generally teach the same... what they teach is generally called "faith only".

If you would like to discuss it further, just start a new thread in the Denominationalism forum.
