School coach violated religion ban in prayer ritual: US court

School coach violated religion ban in prayer ritual: US court
Tue Apr 15, 7:28 PM ET
Associated Press

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A football coach violated a ban on teaching religion in public schools when he joined his players in kneeling and head-bowing rituals before games, a US appeals court ruled Tuesday.

The decision could have national implications and may ultimately affect thousands of schools throughout the United States, many of which are believed to employ coaches who engage in prayer with their teams.

This is sad on many levels. The man was seen "kneeling and bowing" and that violates "religion ban"? Really what is this "religion ban"? This idea that the constitution "bans religion" is ridiculous. It is sad that the founders words have been twisted so. To ban religion is to endorse amoral atheism.

When I hear news like this it makes me sick, yet schools are allowed to teach Evolution.

Re: School coach violated religion ban in prayer ritual: US court

I will be attending, Lord willing, a seminar tomorrow (Friday) night entitled "The Silencing of God". The speaker will be Dave Miller. Dave has been very active in the field of apologetics, working with www.apologeticspress.org for many years. If anyone is located in the southern or southwestern part of Oklahoma, this lecture will take place at the Central Middle School auditorium in Lawton, Oklahoma. It will be held on Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7:00 p.m. and concluding on Sunday at the University church of Christ in Lawton.

The seminar can be purchased in DVD form by going to the website www.silencingofgod.org . Or by visiting apologeticspress.org . This fits in this thread based upon the eradication of God from all public view including our public schools.
