I got 11 out of 11. I had to think hard about one though... It was fun. I'll pass it on.

I got 10 of 11 and the one I missed was thru stupidity. It was probably the easiest!

I didn't do nearly so good on the one where you have to count the "F"'s. I think why I did good on this one is the questions are very similar to ones my dad used to throw at me for fun when I was growing up. I knew to just keep looking until I found the "trick". If I can find some of those questions, I'll post them.

The rope ladder of a boat hangs over the side of the boat and reaches the water its rungs are 8 inches apart how many rungs will be under the water when the tide rises 4 feet?

| Re: Another how smart are you test...
That's a confusing question, but I think the answer would be the same either way if the boat rises with the tide.

Now, if the rope ladder is secured to the side of the boat, this could be a different outcome.![]() ![]() Good one to get the old brain to function a little.

LOL. Bill, the rope is secured to the side of the boat. I cut/pasted this from the Internet. This is one of the questions my Dad asked me as a kid. He was much more precise. Sonnie, correct answer. As the boat rises, so does the rope ladder.

| Re: Another how smart are you test... Correct. In our example, the specific instance of the pattern is: William March -> William June -> William SeptemberThe generalized pattern is two consecutive pairs of month names having the same "distance", as calculated by the second month number minus the first month number in the pair. Or, William X-Month -> William Y-Month -> William Z-MonthSo in following the pattern, William September -> William November -> William JanuaryIn the problem provided, we had William September -> William January -> William MaySo, yes, the answer is "William May".
