I realize that many on this board do not think Catholics are Christians because Catholics feel that the bible goes hand in hand with the oral teachings of the apostles, while the Church of Christ members view the Bible as the sole rule and authority of Christianity. If you wanted to convince a person that was leaning toward the Catholic side, that the bible was the sole rule of the Christian faith, how would you go about doing so? Seriously WebShepard, would you respectfully discuss this or would you just ban from the forum anyone that ask questions as they tried to sort out and weigh the positions of both parties?

I would absolutely discuss it with them. We are very willing to help anyone who really wants to learn the truth. However, what generally happens in most cases is someone who is already a Catholic and has no plans on changing, will stumble across our forum and disagree with much of our studies. They will attempt to pick apart the truth, distort it, malign it, wrestle with it, etc., in an effort to put the Catholic religion on Christians.

I have studied the Catholic religious denomination on a couple of different occasions, not exhaustively, but enough to know it is not a Christian religion. I will work on a study for our Denominationalism forum pertaining to the false teachings of Catholicism.
