Jehovah Witnesses say...

I have been told that the Kingdom is not here yet? Is that true? According to their own Bible it is wrong...

Lets look at John 14:1-4

Do not let YOUR hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God, exercise faith also in me. 2 In the house of my Father there are many abodes. Otherwise, I would have told YOU, because I am going my way to prepare a place for YOU. 3 Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for YOU, I am coming again and will receive YOU home to myself, that where I am YOU also may be. 4 And where I am going YOU know the way.”

...and the Holy Bible states...

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.

If Christ were coming back and setting up His Kingdom here, then He would have said that He set up His Kingdom and He is coming back to be with us here.

Anyone else??

Re: Jehovah Witnesses say...

They do not believe in the Trinity so John 1:1 has to be changed to conform; They write: "In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god." (NWT)

The Bible says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (NKJV)

The NWT is full of these "little" changes to reinforce what the JWs preach but there are so many discrepancies, is is laughable (if it was not so serious a matter).

Read NWT Rev. 1: 8 ("I am the Alpha and the Omega" says Jehova God, "the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.")and then 17-18 (... I am the First and the Last, and the living one; and I became dead, but look! I am living forever and ever,...") and then reference the above John 1:1. They get confused when it comes to who has died and is living again. According to the NWT, Jehova God died. This is utterly ridiculous.

Luke 17:20 ¶ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Do you think that the mansions that Jesus is preparing are in the city of New Jerusalem (Revelation 21) that will come down from heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband?
