Infant Baptism and Infant Sin

Robert,
I was wondering if you could direct me to book, chapter and verse that plainly states that infants should not be baptised.

Thanks

First, baptism is the time when one comes into contact with the blood of Christ, which washes away our sins and here they are to repent. How can a baby repent of something they have not ever done or even know what to repent of?

Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 22:16
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’

Secondly, children are of the kingdom and no one enters the kingdom, unless they are sinless.

Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Thirdly, the are unable to obey Mark 16:16 to "believe".

And Forth, babies cannot "believe with all their heart" so they do not qualify or can they obey something un-obeyable (to make up a word). Notice Philip said, "if"...."he may"...

Acts 8:36-38
36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”

37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.”
And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”[a]

38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

Sure.. Baptism is for...

Those who can hear the gospel preached to them (Romans 10:17): Can a baby hear the gospel?

Those who can believe what the scriptures teach (Mark 16:16): Can a baby believe the scriptures?

Those who can repent of their Sins (Luke 13:3): Can a baby repent of sins?

Those who can confess Jesus as the Christ (Matthew 10:32-33): can a baby confess Christ?

Those who can be baptized are those that have followed what the Bible teaches regarding the above commands. A baby can not do any of this.

Now, can you please show me BCV that teaches a baby being baptized?

Re: Infant Baptism and Infant Sin

Peace, you still have posts that have not been answered over on the catholic thread. You can not move from thread to thread and not answer the questions presented to you and then ask for others to answer posts.

If you want a voice on this site, then answer the questions. You are not a Christian and will not be considered, accepted, or acknowledge as a Christian until you do what the Bible requires.

I have tied to help you in the past and you have refused to study. You have been shown the error of Catholicism and have refused to study. You have been presented with the plan of salvation and have refused to be obedient to it. Stop running and answer.

Now, I say these things in the hope that you will head the scriptures, turn from your error and be saved.

Kindly,
Don

Re: Infant Baptism and Infant Sin

Read the bible PEACE, the pope is not in any of the scriptures regarding judgment. They will not be there to save you, help you, give you beads to count, no Mary to offer co-redemption.

The Word will Judge you and I, not the pope and their ever changing opinions.

John 12:48
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Second, PEACE for you to be allowed to have your posts stand on this topic I DEMAND that you accept the authority of the Scriptures will always trump the authority of the Pope and Catholic Church. If you accept these terms then I will not delete your posts. If you do not accept these terms then I will delete every post you post hereafter.

I am anxiously awaiting your response to this affirmation:

I BELIEVE THE BIBLE AND ONLY THE BIBLE IS MAN'S FINAL AUTHORITY FROM GOD IN LIFE AND NEVER THE POPE OR THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Please answer this Peace.

Re: Infant Baptism and Infant Sin

Re: Infant Baptism and Infant Sin

Peace...you have stated that your "church of Christ" friends don't treat you like we do...I am wondering if they are willing to truly sit down with you to study then or are they saying "you believe your way and I believe mine and we all will be okay"?? We on this forum speak from God's Word only and I have shown you in your doctrine's books how wrong they were from the start but you just ignored them (like you are now). You said that you were here to basically ere to listen and learn...but when put forth with questions you don't feel like answering them. I will tell you truth and if it offends you better to offend you with truth than to please you with lies!

If you don't like the questions put forth of you, then don't bring up subjects that you can't (or won't) back up with Scriptures!

If these "church of Christ" friends you talk about see you as being a Christian then why don't they join the Catholic Church? The next time they read these posts and email you about how bad you are being treated ask them to become a Catholic and to put themselves under the authority of the Pope. if you are saved as you say they say you are, and if they see you as a fellow Christian, then they should not have a problem in joining the Catholic Church.

Invite them to come worship with you and to take communion...oh, wait, they can't take communion with you, can they? They are not Catholics. But I thought they were Christians just like you but they can't take communion with you? hmmmmmm that sounds odd. According to you we are all Christians. I guess some Christians are more "Christian" than others....hmmmmmmmm.

Email me with their answers... I think you find them singing a different tune when you ask them to come join you in the catholic Church......

Re: Infant Baptism and Infant Sin

If I push someone down and they get hurt...I am wrong for doing so and their attitude would be rightfully so...
