Something else you might want to show them, Barb. Noting the section of your post I've quoted, these are the words of Jesus:


Matthew 6:7

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions , as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.KJV (emphasis mine)

Doing things such as the rosary is exactly what this verse is talking about. Also, Jesus taught that we are to pray to God the Father (Luke 11:2)... Hail Mary's are not addressed to God.

I have many Catholic relatives .. sometimes they just won't see because of what has been drummed into them since they were sprinkled at the tender young age of days old.
