Kind of off topic, but was you all aware of this website about the Restoration Movement? http://www.therestorationmovement.com/ |

| Re: Lectureship on: The Restoration Movement
Laura could you explain your interest in the Restoration Movement when you told me you were not a part of it? P.s. I don't consider myself to be part of the Restoration Movement. I consider myself to be a Christian as defined in the scriptures -- nothing more, nothing less. __________________ --Laura (from the tabernacle = church) I quote the RM and your all over my case it seems. Now you are promoting a lectureship on it. Or does this lectureship slam the Restoration Movement. Just wondering. RJ |

The restoration movement, in my opinion was a vital concept to the aim in restoring NT Christianity. Through the 1800's it addressed many denominational problems and sought to remedy them by simply going back to the scriptures, "to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent."

Thats true, Laura. I have an interest in it for it's historical aspects. But it's legacy, of which the way we interpret the bibe ie CENI is very much a part in determining what the will of God is from the Bible.

| Re: Lectureship on: The Restoration Movement
CENI is common sense. It is great that these guys came to understand this, but whether they did or not, it is right to approach the scriptures is such a methodical manner. Craig, do you consider yourself to be part of this movement or do you consider yourself a New Testament Christian? That is what RJ is getting at. There is a history here you do not understand, being new. RJ does not honestly want to know what interests anyone has here in this movement. He is trying to say that because I posted a link to a lecture on the restoration movement and apparently have some interest in it, that I lied when I said I was not part of the movement. This kind of reasoning is flawed at its core.
