What are your thoughts on Kent Hovind and recent events surrounding his arrest? Just curious as he has been a huge influence in my Christian walk.

Never heard of him.

I would suggest not allowing any man to be an influence on your Christian walk, but rather allow God's Word to do all your influencing. It is better to trust in God than to put confidence in man. Psalms 118:8

I appreciate your concern, however, don't read into one sentence so much...goodness!! Of course the Lord is my main source of inspiration, strength, wisdom; everything, however the Lord puts people in our lives to be instruments as well. I knew nothing of how evolution played into everything until I listened to Kent Hovind. I don't put him above Christ!! Anyway...I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Kent Hovind...not my personal walk...thank you!

No offense meant, as I was not commenting on your walk, but rather what influences your walk. I only read what I read, nothing more, nothing less.

Living in Colorado I know a little about
kent. He is serving a ten year sentence for tax evasion. I think his group was called Young Earth creationist. He is a very poor debater, he attended 2 unaccredited bible colleges here in Colo. He does not have a lot of respect from creationist. I must label him a false teacher as well as a convicted felon. Dan
