Why do you say "I suppose.." don't you know what you are? Are you not able to tell others what you are?

So... if you are a bodhisattv, what are you trying to save me from? Who says I need to be saved? How did I become lost? What is it to be lost? Who set the "rules" for how one can come to be lost and how one can be saved?

Please teach me how to be saved......

Wharton plagiarizes all three!

Bruce steals from H.G. Wells!

Trust me BG, this is a compliment. I was the only one in Don's life that was able to crack the mystery meaning behind what he was referring to when he would say "I like cheese" out of the blue.....Can you crack the code?
Well owing that I am a "above average bear" in the world of Cartoons, I would say a prefer Bloo over Cheese.

Am I even close?

I'm not saying anyone here lacks understanding in this area. However, I have come to expect it. So I attempted to make it easier for you.

I am curious though, why people here seem rather obsessed with ignorantly labeling other people things. Sounds rather strange and counter-productive...

I am not trying to save you from anything.
Only Protestants and Catholics, as far as I know...

Well, you have to ask yourself those questions. I don't know you well enough to make those judgements. Furthermore, the answers to fixing one's self are subjective to the individual...

I'm sorry. I don't know what you need to be saved from. Perhaps you can tell me what ails you?
If you can not answer these questions then you should not make reference to yourself as being a bodhisattv. That is a rather odd thing to be if one is an atheist. In fact, why in the world would you ever come to a site such as this if one is not in need of being saved? I think it is you that does not understand us.

I agree with you on one thing... I have yet to meet an atheist that knows what an atheists is. On this we agree.

Kindly,
Don

That's not what you said in an earlier post.....

There is no historical evidence for Jesus of Nazareth. However, that does not mean it's not a good story. With value. Enough that religions have been based off of it

I gave you 10 examples of historical evidence for Jesus and you simply refuse them. Yet, you accept the other things these same men write on others. That's an odd logic. But to each his own.

Kindly,
Don

OK, let me rephrase the question. Teach me to be what you ascribe to be.

How do I become an atheist? Teach me.

You mean to tell me that you are "something" that another person can not be? You hold to "things" that no other person can hold to? Teach me to be what you are......

Kindly,
Don

So you are saying that Josephus was a fool. That when he wrote he was wrong that Jesus was a real person. He was recording nothing but a "story of a fictional person" when he wrote on the history of the Jews.

So help me.... what other fictional characters in his works did he write about and fail to mention in his writings that they were fictional?

Kindly,
Don

See above. You say all bodhisattv's are atheists yet they try to "save" people. Save them from what?

The name of the forum should have told you that "Bible Truth Forum". The Bible teaches that all are lost and all are in need of salvation: (Romans 6:23 / Acts 4:12)

If you see the need to be in a saved relationship with God through Christ (Romans 5:6-11) as being ignorant and closed-minded, then yes, we are EXTREMELY ignorant and close-minded.

Well, like so many of the things you say, you either forget that you said it or argue that what was said was not understood.

You still have not helped me.... teach me how to be an atheist.

Kindly,
Donald

Re: Translations, Versions, & Opinions

Abdullah,

What do you hope to accomplish by being on this site?

Why have you come here if you do not believe in the need to be saved from your sins through the blood of Jesus Christ?

Why come to a "Bible Forum" where this is going to be taught?

Kindly,
Don

Re: Translations, Versions, & Opinions

You stated...I do not believe I mentioned anything from them. Other than I disagreed that they are an authoritative source for the historicity of Jesus. That's all.

So what is then? And I am still waiting for an answer to my previous question?? And this one...do you believe in any form of supreme being?

Re: Translations, Versions, & Opinions

If one wishes to learn then by all means...learn, but I for one have never wanted the "layman" not to read the Bible. And now? Laymen have grown...spiritiually...through education from the Bible.

Maybe you have heard of the Bereans?? Anyone that came to them with something was reasoned with study to see if what they said was true? Same here...if you come here trying to say anything, we will see if what you say is true or not.

Re: Translations, Versions, & Opinions

As far as doing good to others...who are you to know what is good and what is not good? What if someone cosdiered it good to beat you up and steal your car? Where is your authority to prove that what they did was evil to you?

Wow, you can't explain somethings, huh? Then I await for your proof that there is nothing.

And by saying that you are open to things, are you saying that you are open to God or not?
