Not a problem. We all need time to grow. I was where you are today once. I want to answer some of the things you said. I will just answer them honestly, straight forward and with scripture. Please do not read what I am saysing as being mean or that I am angry toward you. I just want to share the truth.

Rob makes a good point about the heart (previous post). There are those who stay in their error because their heart tells them to. Paul makes it clear that we are to be lead by the word of God 2 Timothy 3:16. Being lead by our feelings (heart) is called subjectiveism. It is a belief based not on what the Bible says but on how we "feel". The danger with this is that it proves every single error and every single doctrine of man right. You see the Muslim can say, "I know Mohamed is the way to salvation because I feel it in my heart." The Buddhist can say, "I know Buddha's teachings are the way to go because I feel it in my heart." I don't believe Jesus is the Son of God and my savior because of what I feel, but because of what the Word of God teaches (John 20:31).

By believing we are marked with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. ...I understand that Baptism is a MUST but shouldn't we believe those who surrender to God in the last hours are saved? What about all who never even hear the Gospel?? What about all the children who die hours / days after birth?? It's one thing to hear and reject, it's quite another to not have an opportunity . I need more insight please.
Sure, here it is:
http://www.bibletruthforums.com/bapt....html#post6854

As for children, the Bible does not teach the doctrine of "original sin" so they are not in need of being baptized. The Holy Spirit is given at baptism (Acts 2:38) as taught by Jesus in John 3:5. When one is saved they are "sealed".

As for those who "surrender to God in the last hours" who am I to change what God has commanded? If he has said one MUST be born of water and spirit (John 3:5) what right do I have to teach anything but this?

But even so...if there are miracles today or not, this question does not injure my salvation. Salvation is the one we MUST get right!
Then your spirit is not in agreement with the Word of God. Which one do you think is right, you or the word of God? We also have a thread on miracles that teaches what they Bible says on this topic.

This is how Satan works, he deceives people into thinking they are in a right relationship with God when they are not. James says in James 1:22 that we should not just listen to the word, and so deceive ourselves, we should do what it says". How can listening to the word deceive us? When we just listen and do not obey what the word teaches we are deceived into thinking we are in a right relationship with God when we are not. All the doctrines of man and all the denominations will be "uprooted" by God. That means they will be destroyed (Matthew 15:13). We need to make sure we are in sound doctrine (2 Timothy 1:13) so what we believe will not be destroyed.

I am very glad to hear this because I want very much for you to become a part of the church of Christ and have your sins washed away and be added to the Lord's Church by God himself (Acts 2:47, Acts 22:16, Ephesians 1:7).

Take your time and study the scripture that has been shared. We are hear to study .

Kindly offered for you to consider,
Don
