Re: It’s Not a Choice! It’s a Human Life!

I'm posting my editorial that I wrote this week on abortion and Barack Obama. It is shocking what sort of heart he must possess.

Quote:
After nearly 13 years as a newspaper editor, it takes a great deal to shock me. Even more to just absolutely floor me. From fatal wrecks to murders and fires and a dozen petty crimes in between, I’ve seen a lot of things.
However, this time, I’m floored. Left speechless, which those of you that know me will understand is rather remarkable.
Some years ago, I can remember reacting in almost horror upon reading an article in the state paper about a man who was so irritated with his infant son’s crying that he took the boy, calmly walked down the steps in his apartment building and in front of a crowd of horrified onlookers, hoisted his son up above his head and slammed him down upon the pavement like a sledgehammer.
Such a cold-blooded murder shocks the national conscience, as well it should. We are tempted to think that such a one is not deserving of a trial, but rather a swift dispatching from this mortal realm.
While perusing the state paper Sunday, I came upon something equally horrifying. Perhaps you are like me and never thought about a baby surviving a late term abortion. It’s odd, but it does occur and when it does, the doctor is left holding a whole, often undamaged infant capable in most instances of living on its own.
What do you think should be the fate of such a baby? One would think that even the most ardent abortion-rights advocate would recognize that a baby is a human being deserving of someone’s love and affection and most certainly the chance to live and breathe would be a right.
Anyone but Barack Obama, that is. I can only conclude that he must be one of the most cold-hearted people to ever seek the nation’s highest office. Certainly he is a man in need of our prayers.
Some years back, while Obama was a member of the Illinois Senate, a bill came up to ban a practice that was prevalent in tat state and many others. It seems when murderous doctors would botch their baby-killing, the infant in question would simply be set aside and left to die from inattention. The article said it normally took about an hour or two for the baby to slowly die from lack of love, though some would linger on considerably longer.
Imagine someone sitting back and watching a baby die from lack of attention. Brings to mind that old saying, “Hanging’s too good for them.”
But what of someone who would ardently defend the practice to the extent that the bill’s passage would have to be delayed until they left the Senate?
Obama was gone from Illinois before the bill could be passed.  How many babies died because of his wickedness?
His defense was that to save these babies would whittle away at abortion-rights overall. That sounds good to us. Whatever it takes to save those lives.
What kind of man would sit back and watch a baby die from lack of attention?
Pray for his eyes to be opened before it is too late.
