These verses are often misused. We are NOT to submit to "government" if what they do is contrary to scripture. Please see Acts 4:19-20.
The government says killing babies is acceptable, we will not submit to this
The government says you can divorce for any reason, we will not submit to this
The government says drinking alcohol is OK, we will not submit to this
The government says..... you get the point.
We live in a nation that affords us the privilege to stand up in opposition to our government and to freely voice our displeasure with it. This we ought to do.
