I often feel that when Im over spending its because I feel like buying these things makes me better in some way: oh I bought new clothes. I look better. Look better to who? Not God. Maybe another person might think so.. but I want to please God and not feel like I have to "fix" myself with material things. I have to just be me and know thats how God wants me. Its so hard to not get caught up in the world when its all you know. Money troubles can be so frustrating and embarassing. I feel like the business world is a world full of theives. I get charged all the time for all sorts of things and they raise my APR and the more behind you are.. the less and less you have. I take comfort knowing that in both the Quran (I have a friend whos Muslim and were accepting of one anothers differences in that way) and the bible.. hell is cited to be inhabited with the rich. Now, I dont wish suffering upon rich people or anything.. its just that some people get rich profiting off of good, honest, and hard working people.
well, before I blather on and on.. I pray all of us prosper and that we are all rich in those things that are close to the heart!
