I always thought that the church was against creeds of any kind. I'm glad to hear that the creeds that are Biblically based are possibly okay.

While the church says "no creed but the Bible," I believe that sometimes we are "guilty" of breaking our own "rules;" i.e., "Speak where the Bible speaks..." These catch phrases could be perceived as creeds by others due to their content.

Do you not agree that some of the catch phrases that the church uses are considered creeds even though the church appears to be against any creed but the Bible?

What are your thoughts on these observations?
