| Re: Creeds
GAParker,
The reason I ask this question is I have always wondered about the statement: "Speak where the Bible and be silent where the Bible is silent. Is this a Creed?
There is another statement of faith that I can't remember right. I think it has the "in all things" words in it. But I'm not sure.
I have seen at least one Creed that mentions believing in God, about Jesus Christ from birth to His death. About believing in the Holy Ghost. And acknowledging one Baptism for the remission of sins, etc. If a Creed speaks the truth is it okay? I know that the Church condemns creeds. I'm confused.
Blessings,
Pam
