I have had a practice with my sons since they were little... in worship, I still to this day sit between the two of them. If they get the least bit squirmy or start down the path of doing anything they ought not, I gently place my hand on their knee. They know that mom is there and they immediately straighten up. I still do that on occasion with them now that they are teens, but I've found it it not necessary very often.
Oh, and excellent thoughts Dwayne. I wish more fathers (and mothers) would take note.
