Mr. White, I don't know why you would think that Peter would have to be perfect. Man is imperfect, yet God can still use him in any way He sees fit. Take yourself as an example. You are a pastor I gather. Are you perfect? Just becasue the sacrafice was, and still is perfect, has no relation to imperfect men overseeing the Church. Catholics trust that the Holy Spirit guides the Catholic Church so that her teachings on matters of salvation and morals are correct.
